Unsuccessful steps in a Pathway create a 'branch' that allows you to map alternative learning tasks for users. This is a way to ensure timely, data-driven intervention when it is required.
Note: A step can only be determined as 'unsuccessful' if it is a checklist step and has a pass/fail score set, or it is any other type of Pathway step and it has an expiry set (i.e. an 'expired' status determines that the step is 'unsuccessful').

Step 1: Click on the Pathway step from which you want to branch subsequent steps.
Step 2: Click on the round + button at the bottom of selected step.
Step 3: Choose Unsuccessful in the dropdown menu.
Step 4: Click Add a Step.
Step 5: Choose the step type and add the following step as normal.
