To check which roles are contained within your groups, go to User Management in the left-hand menu, then click on the Groups tab.
In the example below, you can see a list of tiles for each group in this account. The orange chips within each tile represent the roles contained within each group.
To check which groups a user belongs to, there are two ways to do this. Method One is perfect if you already know which group your user is in. Method Two is a little longer, but it is the best choice if you are unsure which groups a user belongs to.
Method One
Step 1: Go to User Management > Groups and click on the relevant group. Provided that you have Owner, Site Admin or Administrator (legacy) permissions, this will show you a list of all groups in your account.
Step 2: Click the Members tab. This will show you a page similar to the one below, where a list of all users who are currently group members will appear as tiles at the bottom of the screen. Here we can see that this group only contains one user: Sandra.
The advantage of this method is that you can also review the roles which are assigned to group members whilst you are in this groups page. These appear as orange chips in the 'roles' field. In the picture above, you can see that the Supervisor group currently assigns four roles to members: Standard User, Supervisor, Task assigner and Compliance Manager.
Method Two
Step 1: Go to User Management > People. Provided that you have Owner, Site Admin or Administrator (legacy) permissions, this will show you a list of all users in your account.
Review the groups each user belongs to by looking at the group 'chips' within their tile. The example below shows that Sandra is a member of three groups: Learner, Supervisor and Example User.
Note: The orange group chips indicate the groups with roles which Sandra belongs to. The green group chips indicate the groups without roles which Sandra belongs to.
Clicking on Sandra's user tile takes you to a page containing the Profile tab. Click the Profile tab to review her user profile. The picture below shows Sandra's profile page and where to find the information about the groups of which she's currently a member.
You can then review which roles are attached to each group by going to User Management > Groups as per Method One above.
