Impersonate a user

  • Impersonating is useful for being able to see a user's account from that user's perspective.
  • Users with Owner, Impersonator or Admin (legacy) roles are able to impersonate other users.

There are two methods for impersonating users. Method 1 is the best option for impersonating when you need to impersonate specific users often. Method 2 is a faster option which is perfect for impersonating users that you don't impersonate often.

Before you impersonate a user, please note:

The impersonating feature is intended as a 'light touch' option for cross-checking things like what your users can see, and for troubleshooting any issues they may report.

** Changes made in the user's account whilst you are impersonating them will be reflected in the user's account, i.e. if you complete a task while impersonating a user, this task will appear completed in their account. **

Method 1

Step 1: Click Impersonate in the top bar.
